Sleep Apnea Appliances

sleep apnea richmondSleep apnea is a condition in which your breathing is interrupted during sleep. Over 18 million Americans are affected by sleep apnea. Your sleep physician will conduct a sleep study to diagnose sleep apnea. We offer several options to help treat sleep apnea.

The goal of all sleep apnea appliances is to increase airflow to your lungs while sleeping. While asleep, relaxation of the tongue and throat may cause constriction of the airway.

We offer several Options for Sleep Apnea treatment. Oral sleep apnea appliances work by positioning the lower jaw forward to keep the airway open.  After an examination and review of your sleep study results, our doctors will determine the specific type of appliance best suited for you.

We are happy to offer a free initial consultation to explain the benefits of sleep apnea and anti-snoring devices and address any questions or concerns you may have.
